The name "Yoi Machizuki" is Japan's former calendar name for the 14th of August, the day before a full moon appears, and alludes to eagerly waiting the following night's moon (August is also considered "moon-viewing season" in Japan). Each chopstick features a full moon pattern that looks stunning when both chopsticks are set together, with a crescent moon-shaped chopstick rest.
